From the Editor:

We suddenly seemed closer to our goal of describing Life At Kent State when Andy Netzel pitched his idea for a story and mentioned the p-word: parking. But this issue is more than the Spring 2001 "Parking's a Bitch" Burr.

We have stories dealing with important issues such as the rapid growth of the number of women students. Another story examines the anxiety associated with graduating that throws students into the woes of a quarter-life crisis.
This issue also discusses topics that are not as mainstream. Mike Dussel shares his conflict between the family farm and college life, and Kim Stenger gives readers a look into finding independence at Kent Stater. Also, Harry Potter mesmerizes an English class, and some students find foreign language bliss with a class where they are required not to talk.

I would like to thank the staff for working long hours amd enduring our closet office for this issue. I would also like to thank the readers, and I hope everyone finds something of interest in this magazine. Be sure to visit the CyBurr for extra coverage.
